Mahavastu Kallimakus
Remembrancer, Scribe of the Book of Magnus
Also known as Kallimakus
Homeworld: Terra
Mahavastu Kallimakus was Magnus the Red's remembrancer, the Terran scribe whose hand wrote the Book of Magnus whether he wanted the job or not. The primarch used him as a pen. Prospero used him as a witness, and Nikaea as a man who had already seen too much ink.
He fled the burning of Tizca and later hid the Athenaeum on Apollonia as if a library could out-argue a Legion's fall. Ahriman found that cache in the centuries after and burned it, because some knowledge is only safe as ash, and some scribes only as smoke.
Kallimakus did not survive the long war as a man with a publisher. He survived as a handwriting the Thousand Sons could not quite leave alone. Terra had sent a remembrancer. The warp returned a footnote with a library's ghost.
