Sanakht

Swordsman of the Thousand Sons

Also known as Sanakht the Swordsman

Homeworld: Prospero

Sanakht was a Thousand Sons swordsman who treated bladework as a philosophy the Corvidae could not predict. Lucius came to his tower to learn why death had not kept him. Sanakht walked the Heresy as Ahriman's duellist rather than a Fellowship captain, a specialist in the argument you make at arm's length when the warp has already taken the rest of the debate.

He survived Prospero's burning and the cabal politics that followed, a swordsman among sorcerers who still thought a perfect cut was a kind of truth. The Legion needed that kind of vanity. It looked like discipline if you did not watch too closely.

Later ages still find him in Ahriman's orbit, a blade looking for a war that will not turn him to dust. Prospero trained seers. Sanakht is the reminder that some of them preferred steel, and that the preference did not save them from the same long exile.
