Aquitaine Sector

The Aquitaine Sector is a division of the Ultima Segmentum near the galactic core, whose capital, Chemos, was the homeworld of the Emperor’s Children. Chemos was a mining world, and it no longer serves as a functioning capital.

The Dark Angels destroyed Chemos and declared the system Perdita. Three subjects are associated with the sector: Fulgrim’s renaissance, the Legion’s fortress at Callax, and the quarantine imposed by the Inquisition.

The sector retains its name, but it has no living capital. It remains significant as the former location of the Emperor’s Children’s homeworld, which the Dark Angels’ action removed from the record. Unofficial maps place the sector within the Ultima Segmentum and list Chemos as a child of the Chemos system.
