Chemos System

The Chemos System is a former mining star system in the Aquitaine Sector, rebuilt by Fulgrim as a seat of the Emperor’s Children and later lost. Two dim stars light a world that had been an exhausted industrial source before its redevelopment, and that afterwards exported art and chemical products.

Fulgrim found the system depleted and rebuilt it. The III Legion, the Emperor’s Children, recruited there until the Dark Angels and the Legio Custodes devastated the system at the end of the Horus Heresy. No functioning Emperor’s Children fortress remains in the system, and later charts treat it as a ruin rather than as the home of a Chapter in the 41st Millennium.

The Chemos System retains a place in charts of the Great Crusade because the culture of Fulgrim’s Legion took shape in its mines, not in the later strongholds within the Eye of Terror. This site keeps the Aquitaine Sector as the system’s parent and does not place it within the Eye of Terror.
