Besana

Besana is a desert mining world in the Gort System, worked by the Imperium for cad-ore; no segmentum and no coordinates are recorded for it. Its soil is poisoned, its air is poisonous without protection because of cad-ore dust, and its deserts hide slipsand, so travel there is by paved roads.

In 996.M41, also described only as late M41, the world was held against the rebellion of the Anckorite Brotherhood by General Creed, sent by Warmaster Ryse. Shortly before the Thirteenth Black Crusade, Besana fell to Chaos; Creed is not recorded as present for that later fall.
