Caliban Subsector

The Caliban Sub-sector is the administrative division around the Caliban System and the home region of the Dark Angels. Its principal world, Caliban, was a forest world before the Lion reduced it to the fortress-monastery known as the Rock.

Luther’s civil war, the origin of the Fallen, and the ten millennia of pursuit conducted by the Unforgiven all trace back to this region. No living recruiting world remains within the sub-sector. It contains only the wreckage of Caliban and the Rock, a fortress-monastery that was formerly a planet.

The sub-sector retains its standing because the Dark Angels will not base themselves anywhere other than the site of these events. Unofficial summaries keep the Caliban Sector as its parent division and classify Caliban itself as a child of the Caliban System.
