Charadon Sector

The Charadon Sector, known as the Iron Sector of Ultima, is an agricultural and industrial region contested by the Ork empire of Charadon. It serves as both a granary and an armoury, and the Ork empire has troubled the neighbouring forge worlds for millennia.

The sector contains Metalica together with a cluster of agri-worlds, gas giants and ore belts, which gave it strategic value to the Imperium. The Ork empire of Snagrod made it a target for invasion. After the Noctis Aeterna, Typhus’s Death Guard converted War Zone Charadon into a front marked by rust and plague, particularly around Chromyd and the Tri-forge Cluster. The Lirac and Obolis sub-sectors continue to appear on later maps as the Imperial portion of the region. The conflict is an industrial war of the 41st millennium, not an episode of the Horus Heresy.

The Charadon Sector remains significant because it supplies armaments to Ultima from a position within reach of Ork forces. Fan reference material lists it under the Ultima parent region and distinguishes the Ork world of Charadon from the sector as a whole.
