Charon

Charon is the largest moon of Pluto and one of the inhabited fortress-rocks that ringed the Khthonic Gate.

Alpha Legion teams attacked Charon, together with the remaining satellites of Pluto, in the opening phase of the Solar War. At a later stage, Newborn Sons of Horus boarded the gun-moons and turned their batteries against Sigismund’s fleet.

Charon’s standing rests on its place among the fortified satellites guarding the Khthonic Gate, whose weapons were first assaulted and subsequently employed against the defending fleet. The name should not be confused with the standalone Charon entry on Lexicanum, which concerns a Dark Angels Lexicanium and not this moon.
