Sigismund was First Captain of the Imperial Fists, the Emperor's Champion, and later the first High Marshal of the Black Templars. He duelled Khârn in the training cages as a friend and on Terra as an ending.
He held the walls, slew the Betrayer, and after the Heresy took a fleet crusade as his answer to a galaxy that would not stay repaired. Abaddon killed him in the first Black Crusade. The Despoiler kept the memory. The Templars kept the oath.
Helbrecht still fights in a tradition Sigismund invented because standing still felt like Dorn's absence. The Black Templars do not garrison. They hunt.
