Equixus

Equixus is a sunless hive world of the Ultima Segmentum, the setting of Spurrier’s Lord of the Night and the crash site of the Night Lord Zso Sahaal. It should not be confused with a well-lit agri-world of similar spelling.

In the narrative, Sahaal awoke on Equixus ten millennia later than intended and set out to hunt the Corona Nox. The Inquisition cell of Interrogator Mita Ashyn arrived to investigate minor heresy. It found instead a Terran-born captain operating in the underhive, where conditions resembled those of Nostramo rebuilt in darkness. The hive’s gangs and death cults, and the later claim on the Corona Nox made by Krieg Acerbus, all formed part of the setting in which these events unfolded.

Equixus remains notable chiefly as Sahaal’s crash-hive. This entry keeps the Ultima hive world distinct from Nostramo, from Tsagualsa, and from any unrelated night-side mining world.
