Espandor System

The Espandor System is Ultramar's eastern-march cardinal star system, a forested well that once fed the sub-sector from the Boreaus agri-sprawl. Espandor itself is the cardinal world; it sits in the Ultramar Sub-sector on the side that faces trouble coming in from the Eastern Fringe.

World Eaters struck it in the Heresy. Leftover Tyranids, later Plague Wars columns, and the usual Fringe pirates have all used this garden as a road. Guilliman's restored Tetrarchy still counts Espandor among the inner names, even when the forest is on fire.

The Espandor System still matters as Ultramar's eastern door, not as a quiet shrine world. Unofficial fan maps keep the ultramar-subsector parent and do not move Espandor into a generic Ultima diocese.
