Espandor

Espandor is a forested cardinal world on the eastern marches of Ultramar that formerly supplied the sub-sector with food from the Boreaus agri-sprawl. Its recorded history includes attacks by the World Eaters, Tyranids and the forces of Nurgle.

The World Eaters attacked the planet during the Horus Heresy. After the Behemoth invasion, Tyranid survivors nested in its woodland. Forces of Nurgle later returned to Espandor during the Plague Wars, and remained until Guilliman’s Spear of Espandor drove them off.

Espandor remains thinly populated. It lies far from Macragge, the principal world of Ultramar, and its distance from that centre is a notable feature of its present standing.
