Euphorus

Euphorus is a paradise world listed in the Ultima Segmentum whose name differs by one letter from that of Euphoros, a Great Crusade world. Euphoros appears in the Ironfire narrative under the designation One-Forty-One-Nineteen. The separate entry for Euphoros is held under the Ghost Stars and carries the serial alias, while this entry records the Ultima placement.

The probable namesake was brought into the Imperium by compliance without bloodshed. Its surface combined polychrome desert at the poles with water at the equator. During the Horus Heresy, the Emperor’s Children occupied the Great Selenic, and the Iron Warriors used the palace and its occupants as siege-target practice. It is unclear whether the Ultima entry was intended to represent that world or to duplicate it, and the map retains both.

Euphorus remains the existing Ultima record and does not supersede the Euphoros entry. Unofficial summaries preserve its Ultima Segmentum parent and note the difference in spelling. They do not posit a second Great Selenic on this world.
