Gudrun System

The Gudrun System is a star system of the Helican Sub-sector in Scarus, containing the declining agri-chemical world Sameter. Sameter is the only world charted within it on this map. The planet Gudrun, the former capital world, is not part of the system.

Sameter held greater importance before Thracian Primaris became the sub-sector capital. In this dataset the planet Gudrun lies in the Thracian Primaris System, and the present system keeps the Gudrun name as an administrative remnant of the Helican Sub-sector. Stories of the Eisenhorn period depict the worlds of this area: agri-chemical industry in decline, Imperial Guard foundings, and the lingering prestige of Gudrunite society.

The system remains on the Scarus chart because Helican geography comprises more than a single hive. It denotes a Helican neighbourhood and does not duplicate the world of House Glaw. Unofficial fan summaries retain the Helican Sub-sector as its parent and do not reassign the planet Gudrun to it.
