Sameter

Sameter is a declining Helican agro-chemical world investigated by Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn over a series of ritual murders in 241.M41.

In the hive of Urbitane, survivors of the Sameter 9th Infantry were killing civilians whom they regarded as warp-touched. The pattern initially suggested a Chaos cult; investigation showed the killers to be traumatised Imperial Guard veterans rather than Chaos worshippers. During the confrontation Eisenhorn lost his left hand.

Sameter remains notable in Helican case history for that misidentification and its correction. Map grouping under the Gudrun system is a catalogue convenience, not an orbital claim.
