Hive Infernus

Hive Infernus is a hive city on Armageddon, near the Equatorial Jungle on the continent of Armageddon Secundus. It stands at a junction of waterways that includes the Krynnan Canal and is counted among the most heavily defended hives on the planet. No coordinates for the hive itself are recorded.

Before the Second War for Armageddon its spire housed the throne room of the Overlord of Armageddon. In that war the Orks took the hive after its commanding officer surrendered without a fight. Its hinterland includes the South Forge Complex, the Diabolus Forge Complex in the Diablo Mountains, the Stygian Bulwark, and the River Stygies, on which Salamanders under Tu’Shan held a bridge during the Second War.

In the Fourth War for Armageddon the hive was the seat of Governor Agmund von Ruger and was besieged by Orks until Operation Imperator arrived. Chapter Master Tu’Shan of the Salamanders made it his command centre, and the hive became central to Imperial resistance on the planet.
