Tu'Shan is Chapter Master of the Salamanders, Regent of Prometheus, a lord who treats civilians as the reason for a war rather than scenery it happens in front of. Nocturne's fire is in the Chapter. He is the one who still remembers what the fire is for.
He held Hive Tempestora on Armageddon when other commanders were counting glory, stood with Dante's alliance when Baal needed every son of Vulkan it could get, and keeps the Promethean Cult from becoming a slogan. He'stan hunts relics. Tu'Shan keeps the hearth.
Vulkan is missing. Tu'Shan governs as if the primarch might walk back onto the anvil-floor and ask what was done in his name.
