Lesser Damantyne

Lesser Damantyne is the Ultima fortress-world of the Schadenhold, the keep of Warsmith Barabas Dantioch’s loyalist Iron Warriors. It appears in The Iron Within as the site of a siege lasting 366 days. This entry refers to that fortress, not to a Damantyne agri-world.

The traitor forces under Idriss Krendl besieged the Schadenhold for a year, employing a corrupted Imperator in the attempt to take a spire suspended from the roof of a cavern. Dantioch responded by dropping the fortress into burning promethium, after which he seized a ship and departed. The crater remained on Lesser Damantyne, and the IV Legion retained the grievance arising from the siege.

Lesser Damantyne is remembered chiefly as the place of Dantioch’s refusal to yield to Krendl. This entry preserves the Ultima parent location and is not merged with Medrengard, Olympia, or a Greater Damantyne, none of which this map treats as the same location.
