Miral System

The Miral System is a death-world system in the Segmentum Tempestus where the Scythes of the Emperor made their last stand after the loss of Sotha. It contains Miral Prime, a jungle world, and Miral II, which shares the same charted system.

Sotha, the Chapter’s original base, was destroyed by Hive Fleet Kraken. Thorcyra then attempted to establish a new fortress-monastery on Miral Prime, but Kraken followed the Chapter to Giant’s Coffin. The Scythes were forced to abandon the jungle world, which was left presumed dead, with only a handful of survivors. On this site’s map the system is placed beneath Jambonium in the Segmentum Tempestus. Many published maps locate Miral in the Segmentum Ultima instead, and the existing placement is retained here.

The Miral System remains significant as the place where the Scythes of the Emperor made their final stand and where the Chapter effectively ended. This unofficial entry treats Miral, and not Sotha alone, as a location of consequence in the Chapter’s history.
