Miral II

Miral II is a location in the Miral System where the Imperial Fists held a fortified position against Leviathan for seven days in 997.M41. It is distinct from Miral Prime, the site of the last stand of the Scythes of the Emperor in Giant’s Coffin.

In 997.M41 Lysander asked Garadon’s Third to mine and bunker the position. The Imperium allotted six days for the preparations, and the defenders required seven. Tactical and Devastator fire broke the attacking swarms, while First Company veterans closed each breach in the defences. The Scythes novel also places an Astra Militarum outpost on Miral II, whereas Kraken’s Giant’s Coffin story remains on Miral Prime. Sources disagree on the wider setting: Jambonium places Miral under Tempestus, while many lore maps place it in Ultima. This site retains its existing parent.

Miral II is significant as the Imperial Fists’ defence under Lysander, not as a second Scythes of the Emperor monastery. Unofficial summaries keep it within the Miral System, do not attribute the Giant’s Coffin narrative to it, and do not merge it with Miral Prime.
