Morlond

Morlond is a Sabbat fortress world held by Chaos forces until Warmaster Macaroth led the assault on it in person. It served as a fortified stronghold within the Sabbat crusade.

Morlond halted the crusade’s advance until Macaroth took command of the assault himself. Chaos forces defended the world for long enough that operations on every other front waited on its fall.

Jambonium records Morlond as a system in its own right, placed on the boundary between Segmentum Pacificus and Segmentum Tempestus. The neighbouring crusade worlds are instead listed under the combined segmentum parent. Morlond’s standing rests on its role as the obstacle on which the timing of the wider crusade depended.
