Morlond System

The Morlond System is a fortified Sabbat system that stalled the crusade until Warmaster Macaroth led the assault in person. It is classed as a fortress well, a system whose defences hold up operations elsewhere.

Chaos forces held the system for long enough that every other front of the crusade waited on its fall. The advance resumed only after Macaroth took command of the assault himself.

Jambonium lists the Morlond System as its own system-level entry on the boundary between Segmentum Pacificus and Segmentum Tempestus. Neighbouring crusade worlds sit instead under the combined segmentum parent, and this overlay retains that structure. The system remains significant as the obstacle Macaroth had to overcome before the crusade could proceed. Unofficial summaries treat it as Sabbat geography rather than as a Heresy household.
