Nachmund Sector

The Nachmund Sector is the Gauntlet sector of the Segmentum Obscurus, the administrative level above Nachmund Sub-sector. The sub-sector is the administrative unit of the corridor that was, for a time, the only stable crossing of the Great Rift.

Nachmund Sub-sector contains Vigilus, and Gorandahl marks the mouth of the Sanctus Wall. Calgar’s war, the treachery of Dharrovar’s Knights, and the pressure exerted by Haarken are all recorded at sub-sector level, one tier below the sector.

The sector remains relevant because the Gauntlet is a geographical region and not a single hive. It is not a synonym for Vigilus. Unofficial summaries retain the Segmentum Obscurus as its parent and place Vigilus under the Vigilus system.
