Ophelia System

The Ophelia System is a Tempestus twin-world system of the Ecclesiarchy, comprising the cardinal world Ophelia VII and its sister world, Ophelia VIII. After Terra, Ophelia VII is the oldest cardinal see, and both the Synod Ministra and the Convent Sanctorum are centred upon it.

Benedin IV relocated the Ministorum to the system, where it remained for three centuries of cathedral construction, until Greigor XI returned the seat of government to Terra. The Battle Sisters continue to divide their strength between the system and Terra, so that no single ruler holds control of the faith. Since the Rift, both Daemons and Night Lords have attempted to breach its defences.

The Ophelia System remains a centre of both devotion and industry rather than a quiet diocese. Unofficial summaries retain its Tempestus parent designation and treat Ophelia VII and Ophelia VIII as distinct worlds rather than a single cathedral.
