Ophelia VIII

Ophelia VIII is a numbered world of the Ophelia System, distinct from Ophelia VII, the cardinal see of Celestine and seat of the Convent Sanctorum. Ophelia VII also houses the Synod Ministra. The two planets are recorded as separate entries, and the present entry concerns Ophelia VIII alone.

Published gazetteers identify Ophelia VII as the shrine-industrial capital of the system and Ophelia IV as the grave world used in the Indomitus assault. Ophelia VIII is the remaining numbered world catalogued in the same system, and these sources attribute none of those features to it. The Battle Sisters divide their strength between Terra and the Ophelia System so that no single authority controls the faith. The mile-high cathedrals and the dungeons associated with that arrangement lie on Ophelia VII, not on Ophelia VIII.

The catalogue retains Ophelia VIII as a companion entry so that it is not merged with the cathedral world. It remains under the Ophelia System, within the Tempestus parent region, and does not carry Celestine’s cardinal dossier or the material relating to Ophelia IV. Its standing is that of a distinct catalogue entry rather than a described site.
