Pelegeron IV

Pelegeron IV, also called Pelegeron, is a former Imperial mining world in the Pelegeron System, within a region known as the Pelegeron Cluster. No segmentum or coordinates are recorded.

The world is extremely tectonically and volcanically active. The few landmasses stable enough for habitation are crossed by rivers of lava. Its most notable feature is a vast volcano called Apex, larger even than Olympus Mons, which held a fortress of the same name in its interior.

In late M41 a Chaos cult rose there and the world attempted to secede from the Imperium. The Imperial response was the Vinculus Crusade, which included Black Templars and Battle Sisters of the Order of the Bloody Rose under Inquisitor Vinculus. The last major battle of that crusade was fought on Pelegeron IV.
