Prandium System

The Prandium System is an agricultural system of the Ultramar Sub-sector, stripped of its atmosphere by Hive Fleet Behemoth in 745.M41. Its principal world was regarded as a prized agricultural holding within Ultramar.

Before the Tyranid invasion, Remus Ventanus had damaged tracts of the world during a Heresy-era trial of the Codex against mock World Eaters. The world subsequently recovered, and it had been restored by the time the swarm arrived. Marneus Calgar’s defence of the system failed, and Hive Fleet Behemoth consumed the world’s resources, including its atmosphere.

The Ultramarines still regard the loss as a stain on their record, two centuries after the event. The system remains part of the Ultramar Sub-sector and is not to be confused with the unrelated dead worlds of the Ultima Segmentum. Its principal world did not recover from the Tyranid assault.
