Prometheus

Prometheus is the unusually large moon of Nocturne that serves as the Salamanders’ fortress-monastery, ship-dock and Pantheon. It orbits Nocturne, the planet below, and exerts a gravitational influence upon it.

That pull triggers the Time of Trial on Nocturne. On the moon itself, only Firedrakes and neophytes reside permanently.

The Eye of Vulkan and the forge-ship Chalice of Fire maintain the moon’s armament. Prometheus therefore combines the functions of stronghold, dockyard and sacred site, and remains under arms.
