Scintilla System

The Scintilla System is the capital system of the Calixis Sector in Warhammer 40,000, containing two large hives, a walking city and a gun-foundry town. An Inquisitorial fortress stands in the Tricorn, and the moons Lachesis and Sothus lie within the same charted well.

Conditions differ sharply between the system’s settlements. Nobles hunt members of the lower classes for sport, while the population of the middle hive labours to the point of death to meet the tithe. Sector wealth, heresy and the Redemptionists all pass through the system.

The Scintilla System retains its standing as the seat of authority in the Calixis Sector. One Black Crusade map placed the world considerably too far north, and that placement is disregarded. Unofficial fan summaries keep the Calixis Sector as its parent location and do not treat it as a generic Obscurus hive.
