Signus System

The Signus System is a cluster of seven industrial worlds in Ultima Segmentum, the site of a trap set for the Blood Angels during the Horus Heresy. Horus sent Sanguinius there in the expectation that he would die. Signus Prime served as the capital until daemons, among them Kyriss and Ka’Bandha, claimed it.

The system comprises Signus Prime, Holst, Kol, Phorus, Scoltrum, Signus Tertiary and Ta-loc, together with the triple stars Signus Alpha through Gamma. Sanguinius withdrew the Legion from the system and declared it permanently dead; the worlds remain on the map as a graveyard. A cyclonic charge destroyed the Cathedral of the Mark.

The Signus System retains its standing in Blood Angels history as the episode through which the Legion recognised that its rage had a name. It lies within Ultima Segmentum and is distinct from Baal.
