Thramas System

The Thramas System, in the Aegis Sub-sector, was the setting of the Thramas Crusade between the Dark Angels and the Night Lords during the Heresy. In that war the two Legions fought a destructive campaign against worlds of the Eastern Fringe. The charted space of the system includes Thramas, Heroldar and Tsagualsa.

Tsagualsa, known as the Carrion World, served as a seat for Curze after the destruction of Nostramo. There the Lion, primarch of the Dark Angels, and Curze, called the Night Haunter, each came close to killing the other. A Callidus blade ended Curze’s life in the palace on Tsagualsa. The system belongs to a Heresy-era war on the Eastern Fringe and not to the 40k era, and it contains no hive capital.

The Thramas Crusade is significant as the campaign in which both Legions came to regard the war as a personal conflict. Unofficial summaries retain the Aegis Sub-sector as the parent of the system and do not place Tsagualsa at Nostramo.
