Ullanor System

The Ullanor System is the Ork capital system of the Ullanor Sector in Segmentum Solar, site of the Emperor’s Triumph and later the War of the Beast. At Ullanor, Horus defeated the Ork leader Urlakk Urg, and the Emperor named him Warmaster on the same ground.

The Beast later converted the principal planet into Gorkogrod, where Vulkan died in the fighting. The Adeptus Mechanicus secretly teleported the world rather than destroy it by fire. Later maps identify the relocated mass as Armageddon. This overlay therefore keeps the Ullanor and Armageddon locations as separate entries with distinct identifiers.

The Ullanor System remains significant as the setting of the triumph at which a Warmaster was appointed and as the later Ork capital that the Imperium sought to appropriate. Unofficial fan summaries retain the Ullanor Sector as its parent and do not remove the system on account of Armageddon’s association with the relocated world.
