Vorsk Subsector

The Vorsk Sub-sector is a region of the Segmentum Obscurus, devastated by Waaagh! Gragnatz and containing the Iron Warriors fortress-world of Castellax. Waaagh! is the Orks’ term for a massed warband campaign. On this map, the sub-sector is defined chiefly as the neighbourhood of Castellax.

Warsmith Andraaz held Castellax and paid tribute (a tithe) from it to Medrengard until Waaagh! Biglug and a slave revolt killed him. Gemin Prime, Absteron, Scythia and the Wyrm’s Maw appear on the same chart. The map records Castellax as a tithe-world of Medrengard and does not associate it with Isstvan.

The sub-sector remains notable as a region afflicted by both Ork invasion and Iron Warriors rule. Unofficial maps retain vorsk-sector as its parent and list Castellax as a direct child of this entry.
