Zandros
Zandros is the wreck of a lost Eldar craftworld, remembered chiefly as the site of the Slicing Orbs Aspect shrine and of duels among the Phoenix Lords. Unlike Biel-Tan or the scattered Exodite worlds, Zandros is not a living community but a ruined hull adrift among the stars, and it is catalogued here as a station rather than a settled world.
Its position in the galaxy is not settled among lex accounts: this map places Zandros within the Ghost Stars, the drifting field of dead and damaged craftworlds, while some chronicles instead locate the wreck nearer the Maelstrom in the Ultima Segmentum. The uncertainty is itself characteristic of the Ghost Stars, whose wandering hulks are tracked more by report than by fixed coordinate.
Zandros is best known not for any surviving population but for what occurred within its broken halls. The Phoenix Lords Karandras, the Shadow Hunter, and Arhra, the Fallen Phoenix, are recorded as having duelled there across seventeen days, a contest set within the long enmity between the Aspect cults and their exiled forebear. In a later age, Jain Zar and the Drukhari duellist Drazhar are said to have crossed blades amid the same ruins, binding two eras of Aspect warfare to a single, shared location.
The wreck’s Slicing Orbs Aspect shrine has no attested counterpart at any other craftworld, and its isolation within Zandros is part of what marks the site as singular rather than merely derelict. Zandros has not been restored to a living craftworld, and unofficial summaries continue to treat it as a station-class ruin under the Ghost Stars, distinct from both the high craftworlds and the Exodite diaspora.
