Also known as Grukk the Unstoppable, Grukk Face-Eater, Grukk the Zogging Maniac, Scourge of the Sanctus Reach
Grukk Face-Rippa is a ten-foot Goff Ork who began the Red Waaagh! of 998.M41 and is still known in Sanctus Reach as the Scourge. A Waaagh! is an Ork mass campaign of war and migration. Grukk fights with a power klaw, a powered mechanical claw, and remains equally destructive when he does not use it.
Grukk did not plan the Red Waaagh!. It began because his aggression did not abate. Ork fleets nonetheless arrived, their crews hoping to watch him fight, and the Orks credited the campaign to the deity Gork. Reports later held that an accident involving experimental equipment built by the Meks, the Ork engineers, had killed him. The same accident reportedly killed the larger Nobz, the senior Ork warriors, and left the Big Mek Mogrok in command of the Waaagh!.
Grukk had not died. He is travelling towards Mogrok with a grievance against him. Orks who took Mogrok to be the new leader of the Red Waaagh! are therefore expected to meet its original leader again, and Mogrok’s hold on the campaign is in question.
