Kargos Bloodspitter

Kargos Bloodspitter is a World Eaters Apothecary recorded among the Legion’s commanders at the Battle of Skalathrax in the Eye of Terror. He serves the XII Legion in its Chaos-sworn form and is attested chiefly through that single engagement, so his wider career, origins and the source of the epithet Bloodspitter are not established in the material reflected on Orrery.

At Skalathrax, a Daemon World in the Eye of Terror, the World Eaters clashed with the Emperor’s Children over a system both had reached seeking refuge. Kargos is listed with the World Eaters officers present, among them Khârn, Goghur, Argus Brond, Solax and Dreagher, while the opposing command included Tiberius Angellus Anteus and Lucius the Eternal. The engagement is recorded as the last action of the World Eaters as a unified Legion, ending in its fragmentation into independent warbands. No individual deeds, alliances or rivalries of Kargos during the battle are attested here, and accounts differ on which officers survived the parley and the fighting that followed.

His standing is that of a minor named figure whose importance lies in his placement rather than in recorded feats: an Apothecary, an office concerned with the wounded and the recovery of gene-seed, appearing within a Legion defined by unrestrained slaughter. His present status is unknown. On the Orrery map his anchor is the Eye of Terror, and on the timeline he belongs to the World Eaters strand in the aftermath of the Great Scouring, alongside Khârn and the other commanders of the Skalathrax campaign.
