Death of Quixos

The Death of Quixos was the killing of Quixos on Farness Beta in the mid-41st millennium by an Inquisitorial cell that included Gregor Eisenhorn. It ended Quixos’s construction of pylons intended to constrain the Eye of Terror. Intelligence attributed to Gideon Ravenor directed the Inquisitorial cell to a mountain installation near the Cadian Gate, where Quixos was building the pylons. His daemonhosts, notably Prophaniti and Cherubael, resisted the assault. Quixos was slain with a force weapon before the project could be completed. The pylons remained unfinished after his death. Military pressure from Chaos forces elsewhere along the Gate continued independently of the killing. The later custody of materials linked to Quixos, including the Malus Codicium, forms a separate thread in Inquisitorial records. Alizebeth Bequin’s Distaff formed part of the null screen that made the Farness Beta assault possible. Quixos had gathered a great number of psykers from the Thracian Atrocity; the Distaff blanks, trained and led by Bequin, neutralised that psychic strength so Eisenhorn’s cell could close with Quixos, Prophaniti and Cherubael.
