Liberation of the Menazoid Clasp
The Liberation of the Menazoid Clasp was the recapture of a group of Sabbat Worlds from Chaos during Warmaster Macaroth’s crusade. The Clasp is named in the novel First and Only, and its capital world is Menazoid Sigma. The Clasp had been held by Chaos before the crusade retook it. During the campaign, Menazoid Sigma served as the system capital while Guard armies deployed across the region. The neighbouring world of Menazoid Epsilon lies in the same region and was the scene of separate fighting involving the Ghosts. The liberation returned the Clasp to Imperial control and left Menazoid Sigma as its recognised capital. Events on Epsilon, including Gaunt’s confrontation with Lord General Dravere, Inquisitor Heldane, the Jantine Patricians and the corrupted Iron Men Standard Template Construct at Shrine Target Primaris, took place on that world and are not attributed to Sigma.
