Agripinaa Subsector

The Agripinaa Sub-sector is an industrial region of the Cadian Gate holding the Agripinaa System, the Orb of a Thousand Scars and hive wells such as Amistel. For millennia it supplied arms to Cadia, the fortress world of the Gate, and Cadia drew that materiel from the sub-sector rather than producing it locally.

After the fall of Cadia, the worlds and installations of Albitern, Amistel and the forge well became the principal remaining industrial base of the Gate. Traitor sieges have since been directed against the sub-sector, which lies exposed as an industrial position facing the Eye of Terror.

The sub-sector remains significant because the Cadian Gate depends on a supply of munitions to function as a defended frontier rather than as an undefended passage. Unofficial maps continue to place it within the Agripinaa Sector, and the Agripinaa System is recorded as a lower-level entry beneath it through the agripinaa-system listing.
