Amarah Prime

Amarah Prime is the capital hive of the Orpheus Sector in Segmentum Tempestus and the anchorage of Battlefleet Orpheus. The Necron host of the Maynarkh Dynasty broke the anchorage in the Battle of Amarah. This entry follows the Deathwatch and Imperial Armour account of the world.

Governors of the Orpheus Sector have sat at Amarah Prime from the time of Hal Orpheus onward. When the Maynarkh Dynasty’s host arrived, Battlefleet Orpheus and the Imperial Guard wore down the assault until it halted. They then evacuated the surviving soldiery and left the civilian population behind.

Amarah Prime remains the capital associated with the Fall of Orpheus. It is a separate location from Amarah II, which is recorded under the identifier amarah-prime-1946 in the Amarah system, and from Gorgon Quintus, the later castrum. This entry places Amarah Prime within Segmentum Tempestus and does not merge it with either.
