Armageddon Subsector

The Armageddon Sub-sector is a Segmentum Solar administrative division containing the Armageddon System and neighbouring worlds. It lies within the Armageddon Sector. The hive world Armageddon is the best known of its planets. Jopall, Pyran, Monglor, Noctan and a number of lesser worlds give the sub-sector an identity of its own.

Conflicts centred on Armageddon do not remain confined to it. Ork Roks (the asteroid-borne vessels of the Orks), daemonic incursions and Imperial counter-offensives cross system boundaries, so the losses fall on the sub-sector as a whole. Some of its worlds raise specialised Imperial Guard regiments, while others are affected chiefly by their position. Star charts continue to show them together because the influence of the hive world is political as well as physical.

The sub-sector is significant as the wider area affected by the Armageddon wars, and it is not a synonym for the single planet. Unofficial fan maps place it within armageddon-sector. They treat Armageddon itself as a child of armageddon-system, not of the sub-sector.
