Baal System

The Baal System is the Blood Angels' home star system in Ultima Segmentum, a cluster of irradiated desert worlds around the fortress of Arx Angelicum. Baal itself is the Chapter's seat; its moons Baal Primus and Baal Secundus are the recruiting wastes where Sanguinius first walked among the tribes.

Sanguinius's Legion used this system as a loyalist hub in the Heresy, and ten millennia later Hive Fleet Leviathan nearly ate it in the Devastation of Baal. Commander Dante held the moons and the homeworld while successor Chapters bled in the outer rocks, and the system still carries the scar of that siege. Sister worlds such as Ammonai, Kheru, and Set sit in the same gravity well as the recruiting moons.

The Baal System remains the Blood Angels' spiritual centre even after Leviathan, which is why Dante's Chapter still answers from here rather than relocating to a safer fortress. Ultima maps keep the pin because the red sons of Sanguinius have nowhere else that counts as home.
