Baal

Baal is the irradiated desert home of the Blood Angels and the fortress of Arx Angelicum. Sanguinius's Legion used it as a loyalist hub in the Heresy, and Hive Fleet Leviathan nearly ate the system in the Devastation of Baal. Guilliman's Indomitus Crusade broke the swarm and began the rebuild on the Nihilus side of the Rift. Commander Dante and Mephiston held Arx Angelicum against the Swarmlord’s Leviathan tide until Guilliman’s Indomitus relief reached the Baal System, tying Sanguinius’s homeworld to Terra and Ultramar on the same footprint.
