Black Reach

Black Reach is the Ultima hive world of the Assault on Black Reach, the boxed-set war where Ultramarines 2nd Company broke Warboss Zanzag's Orks. This pin also answers to Blackreach and sits in its own named system.

Cato Sicarius's company made the drop; Calgar's Chapter treated the world as a lesson in how a new starter box starts a war. Ork scrap-cities, hive spires, and a planetary title that later reprints still use are the whole identity. It is not Macragge and not a random Reach namesake.

Black Reach still matters as the 5th-edition door into 40k. Unofficial summaries keep the black-reach-system parent, keep the Blackreach alias, and refuse to merge the pin with Ultramar's capital.
