Cadian Sector

The Cadian Sector is the Segmentum Obscurus administrative division corresponding to the Cadian Gate and stands above the Cadian Sub-sector. It also administratively covers the sister worlds that formerly supplied Cadia’s kasrs, the fortress-cities of the Cadian garrisons.

For ten millennia the sector formed the administrative framework around the only fleet-scale corridor out of the Eye of Terror. When the pylons failed, the sector did not cease to exist; it became the remaining lock on that route. Pervigilium, Raeddon and other surviving gravity wells still appear on the chart.

The Cadian Sector remains significant because the Cadian Gate is a region rather than a single fortress world. Unofficial maps retain the Segmentum Obscurus as its parent. Cadia is recorded as a grandchild of the sector through the cadian-system entry, not as a direct child of this record.
