Ursula Creed

Ursula J. Creed is Lord Castellan of Cadia and the daughter of Ursarkar, a general who inherited that title after the planet it named was destroyed. She was raised as Ursula Skouros and saw her father on only two occasions, each time from a distance.

During the Indomitus years she worked to establish that the Creed name did not belong to Ursarkar alone. Roboute Guilliman dispatched her in pursuit of a fragment of Cadia and a rumour of a secret weapon. She returned with plans for New Cadia and with her father’s cloak, which appeared in her cabin without explanation.

The Cadian 8th follows her because “Cadia stands” has become a policy rather than a place. She does not replicate Ursarkar, and her standing rests on that distinction. The Astra Militarum, the Imperium’s standing army, continues to require a Creed.
