Lucius the Eternal is the swordsman of the Emperor's Children who cannot stay dead. Pride is the mechanism. Anyone who kills him and enjoys it becomes him. The galaxy has not yet found a way to make that a fair fight.
He was a duellist of the III Legion before the Laer and the Heresy made art into appetite. Chemos produced him; the Eye refined him. He has died on enough blades that even his own brothers treat victory over him as a trap.
He is not the forge-world. He is the man who turned survival into a curse and then got comfortable with it. Slaanesh finds that delightful. Everyone else finds it exhausting.
