Gathalamor

Gathalamor is a cardinal world south-west of Terra, a pilgrimage destination noted for its crypts, cathedrals and ossuaries. Pilgrims stop there in large numbers, and the world’s religious architecture is given over largely to the commemoration of the dead.

During the Age of Apostasy, Cardinal Bucharis established from Gathalamor a domain founded on unbelief. Dolan Chirosius died in the effort to bring that domain to an end. In a later period, Mount Amalath was the site of a series of sermons that gave their name to an Inquisitorial faction.

After the opening of the Rift, Chaos forces again attacked Gathalamor, and the Indomitus Crusade was required to remove them. The world thus figures in Imperial records both as a place of pilgrimage and as a repeated point of contention with Chaos.
