Trajann Valoris is the seventeenth Captain-General of the Adeptus Custodes, chief guardian of the Palace in an age when the Palace is no longer a quiet tomb. He ran two Blood Games in a decade, a record the Ten Thousand still quote, and then had to fight a real war on the same walls.
He stood in the Throneroom when Guilliman returned, commanded the defence of Lion's Gate against Khorne, and sent Custodians out into a galaxy the edicts had kept them from for millennia. Valdor left. Valoris stayed.
He is, by the Custodes' own measure, the deadliest man currently holding the office. Terra is still the job. The rest of the Imperium is a perimeter he has finally been allowed to treat as one.
