Gildar Secundus

Gildar Secundus is the primary settled world of the Gildar System, where Silver Skulls Captain Daerys Arrun died fighting Huron Blackheart's Corsairs.

Huron's Red Corsairs rode the stolen Wolf of Fenris into the Rift, lost Executor grand cruisers to the Chapter fleet, then went to ground on inhabited stones including this one. Arrun ordered the planetary assault; weeks of purge cleared the system; Huron killed him in single combat and fled with enough Corsairs to plague later charts. Quintus already holds the poisoned agri feeds; Primus, Tertius, and the outer numbers are not this battlefield.

Arrun had been Master of the Fleet and captain of the 4th Company when he led the surface assault from Manifest Destiny. Within weeks the Skulls declared the Rift free of Corsair taint, though Huron escaped the Secundus duel with enough renegades to return.
